This presentation will examine how the role of the intervener complements the roles of teachers, consultants, therapists, and other members of the educational team. Participants will explore how interveners support other members of the team by addressing the four factors of deafblindness throughout the student’s day. Through practical examples, participants will examine ways interveners collaborate with team members to promote consistency, shared problem-solving, and meaningful participation for students who are DeafBlind. Participants will also gain strategies for working with their teams to identify students who may benefit from intervener support.
