October 19 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm AKDT

Registration Link: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_gHKuKSOkSACJWKupkMMcPQ

Presented by Dr. Beth Kennedy
The intervener model is an emerging approach to supporting individuals who are DeafBlind, and teams may be interested in understanding the unique benefits interveners can provide. While the role of an intervener is distinct, all members of a team can engage in appropriate support by applying the eleven Principles of Intervention to their work. This presentation will introduce the intervener model, describe the role and training of interveners, and explore how interveners contribute to effective team-based support. Participants will gain practical tools for determining when an intervener may be appropriate for a child/student who is DeafBlind. The presentation will also provide an overview of current and pending legislation related to interveners.
